Admissions Criteria
Scribbles and Giggles is licensed through the California Department of Public Health and vendorized through the San Andreas Regional Center (SARC) and Medi-Cal providers as a Pediatric Day Health Center for children who are medically fragile and/or who have special needs. In order to qualify, children must be 2 months to 20 years old AND meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Medically At Risk: Refers to children with chronic health conditions that require skilled nursing personnel to administer medical treatment, assessment, and monitoring on an ongoing basis.
- Technology Dependent: Refers to children who require mechanical devices or special technological interventions to sustain life. These children may require skilled nursing personnel to assess and monitor medical status on an ongoing basis.
- Medically Dependent: Refers to children whose medical status requires skilled nursing personnel on site to address medical issues as they arise. For example, these children may have metabolic, congenital or respiratory disorders requiring medication, special intervention and ongoing monitoring.
- Special Needs: Refers to children whose special needs would preclude them from participating in a typical daycare setting. In the interest of maintaining effective staff ratios and the safety of your child and other participants, Scribbles and Giggles can only provide services to children without significant behavioral challenges.
